Spiritual Direction – 14 November 2020
Spiritual direction has a long history in the Church going back to Jesus Himself. Christ guided the disciples and then left the Holy Spirit to guide and lead the Early Church. In an age of fast tracking, hasty decisions and noise, the essence of spiritual direction is silence, wisdom and discernment. This course will explore:
1. The biblical and historic foundations of spiritual direction. A review of the New Testament understanding of the role of the Holy Spirit and how we are called to care for one another.
2. Clues to the importance of spiritual direction, and a review of the tools available to us to mature as Christians in the workplace, church and family.
3. A chance to review your life. For a spiritual check-up and to ask where do I go from here in my pursuit of maturity?
You will be sent zoom link details closer to the date of the course.
